Short lived Derby 2010

The Derby was great this year, a smidge short if you ask me, but that could just be from my driver's point of view. Needless to say I was in and out, and stayed out. We had alot of fun working on the beauty and getting her ready, learned alot and ready for next year. Hoping to get a little more family participation in the future.

Everyone worked hard and had a good time changing her from baby blue to safety yellow, sadly this color just made it easier to spot me out in the middle of the ring smoking, but obviously not like a rocket cause I was NOT moving!! Yeah and you may notice the lack of a helmet, well lets just say I gave so hard it knocked my helmet off, luckily it was really only for show cause we all know there is not enough on top of that thick neck to warrant a helmet.

Raised by wolves or could it possibly be the result of living with 9 women for so long??

Sorry about the side shot, Kim and I are working on the whole blog technology!

Late Birthday Update JDM

So as a quick update (I know it is Kim's Birthday) but to blog about her and not me would seem down right unfair!! (By the way we love the couch, Luke and Bre! Costco??)

So a few pics of my birthday courtesy of my lovely wife!!

Oh yeah sweet card (hand mande, LOVE) and the ride isn't too shabby either. Had to replace the white chevy, wink!!!

We went to Washington to pick it up and hit Mt. St. Helens along the way.

Yep, it is just a volcano, but pretty cool and an added bonus to the trip!!!!

ALL IN ALL A GOOD TRIP AND GREAT BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!

(Do not hate me cause I have not got the blogging format down, working on it!!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM!

Happy Happy Birthday Sister Dear! If I had one wish then it would be a Happy HAPPY Birthday to you from me! I hope you have a FABULOUS day!!!!

I love you!

Luke, Bre, and Z

Everyone say it with me: "Blogs are fun!" I should know, this is the third blog I write on. (That wasn't bragging. It was just is me pointing out that I like to blog.  It's a disease...but a GOOD disease!)  ;o)

This is a good idea!  It's nice to be in all ya'll's biz-nizz...because I am nosey like that.

Luke: LOVES his job!  He is busy, busy, busy getting stuff done, and learning lots.
For the first little bit, Aslynn wasn't taking the change from "dad is home all the time" to "dad isn't home all day" very well.  She would wake up and go looking around the house for Luke calling "Dad?  DAD!" She's adjusting, though.  She knows the general time when Luke gets home and she makes sure to open the front door often and check outside to see if he is there.
I guess I haven't been handling the "Luke is working" change too well either; I think he works too much.  I am very glad that he is happier, though.  Luke just always needs something to do to keep him busy and being a productive member of society.
Luke got called to be 1st counselor in Young Men's. He's liking it so far (because Luke is really 16 years old at heart).
He planted a garden and it is thriving.  I will do a post on the other blog about it soon WITH pictures.

Bre: I'm staying at home with Z and trying to get the hang of having nothing to do but clean the house (which doesn't happen).  I miss school and want to go back...but fist I have to figure out what I want to go back to school for.
I've made a couple of friends here and it is nice to have someone to hang out with and have girl dates.

Z: Is the cutest thing in the whole world.
She is picking up words like crazy! It's a good thing we don't have potty-mouths because she repeats what she hears.
She likes having play dates with her friend, Spencer.  She loves her cousins and her aunt Chelle; when I take her over there she walks into the house, turns around, waves at me and says "Bye, Mom!" and closes the door on me.  It makes me happy that she trusts other people, but at the same time it makes me sad because my baby is growing up and doesn't need me as much anymore.  I don't know what I am going to do when she leaves for college.

Us: Lately, as a family we've been enjoying picnics in the park, adventures in Palm Springs and hanging out with Michelle and the kiddos.  Life is good.

FINALLY

I know nothing grand to post or add, but finally someone gets it!

EVERYONE has to post something MONTHLY, it is not fun being out of the loop, I mean Luke and Bre could have another kid, heck Mom and Dad could have another kid, double heck Stef or Barbie could be dating and I would know nothing about it. So please contribute and enjoy, we love pics and videos as well.

Yes, Luke and Bre I follow yours weekly, so keep it up, love seeing and hearing whats going on down in the South, wink!!

Here Goes Nothing...

I feel kind of weird being the first one to post, mostly because I have nothing exciting to say, but I will try to entertain.

I am back in Yucca Valley for a little bit at least. I am looking for jobs and cleaning the house and brainwashing Z so that she thinks that I am her favorite-it is almost working!

Mom and Dad came and got me from Idaho and we had some adventures, not many. I got sunburned really bad about the second day that we were hanging out so I couldn't do much, but it was fun. The van was stuffed full. We were really back heavy and if Dad stopped too quick everything would topple down on Doug and me. There was a patch through Vegas that was pretty rough, but we made it. Unloading was much easier than loading was. I am excited to be back!

<>Sorry it is doubled

Doug getting dropped of for OYA
If you look closely you can see Mom in the background shedding a tear or two.
Saying Good-bye (I thought he was going to die)

We went to the museum in Idaho Falls-Wolf to Woof.
Did you know that dogs can hear termites in the walls of your home?

And of course you can't go through Utah without stopping at the Quilted Bear!!
Cute crafts-we were there FOREVER!
Doug didn't even go inside-said it was a traumatic reminder of the past.
