San Francisco Trip 2011

Our San Fran. anniversary/education trip was fun!! I had to go for a work conference so Kim and I planned a little fun for an early anniversary trip.

OH YEAH!!!! In & out my wife loves me she dislikes hamburgers but she is sweet enough to suffer through a trip to In & Out for me.

Sorry this is not a picture of me it is of Six Flags Vallejo in the background, we did not take any pics. It is a cool place because it is a zoo/amusement park, of course it sucks because it is a zoo/amusement park. Fun cause we got to see Lions, tigers, elephants, etc and ride some rides. Not so cool cuz there were not a ton of animals nor were there a lot of rides. We had fun though.

Spur of the moment we shot down to San Jose to see the Winchester House. Kim really enjoyed it, it was my second time but this time we did the behind the scenes tour of the basement and out buildings. Super weird. 10,000 more windows than the Empire State building, built 24 hours a day 7 days a week for 40 years straight!! Crazy cool. Of course they have changed the rules so no picture taking inside the house anymore, which is lame. had a good dinner at Cheesecake Factory aftwards, but no pics cuz I am sure you have all been there!

Had to share a pic of the rental car, oh yeah sporty convertible. Which was cool until I got a sunburn. No idea how Jared drives this car around it has a million blind spots, not too safe!!! However the OnStar is pretty sweet, you just press the blue button and tell the person where you are needing to go and BAM the car starts telling you , SWEET!!!

We stopped at the Oakland temple, which is different looking and one of the older temples, I think the 13th. We sadly did not make time to do a session, tried to stuff too much into our three days. The grounds were beautiful and the visitors center was pretty nice.

Took Kim to Fisherman's Wharf, she had been but it was fun to go together, driving downtown San Fran was hectic, crappy streets and the GPS could not update fast ehough to get you anywhere. We parked at the hotel and hoofed it everywhere. Had some delicious clam chowder in a sourdough bowl, YUM!!! Watched the street artists, andtook in the sights.

One of my better pics of the Golden Gate Bridge, did not have time to get much closer, and there is a ton of things to do in San Fran, you could stay busy for weeks, but alas we were short on time.A shot of the golden gate from Alcatraz Island!! Sadly not a view the inmates were able to cherish, wink!!

No worries Alcatraz is closed for those of you that did not know, of course Kim probably would have left me given the choice. KIDDING!!!

This is the lighthouse on Alcatraz, its pretty cool and the clouds added to the coolness. Had to share the pic I took for our "Lighthouse" bathroom. Just in case you all can not come see it for yourself.

We had a blast, stuffed a ton in and then some. Got back to work for a week then went to Portland for Becca's wedding then to John Day. We are getting to the point where we just want to be HOME, its the one place we have not been for a while!!!

Love everyone!!!
