Thought I would take a little time to give a smidge of an update. Things are going well up here in Oregon, was chilly the last two weeks, snow and rain, but it is looking like Spring is just around the corner of course that is after this entire week of rain is over. Its all good though we are excited for a weather change hopefully letting us get outside and enjoy the beauties!!!

Anyway the last two weeks have been eventful. First Kim's car overheated on her, which was a new experience for her (fun, fun). We were kind of excited cuz we were going to look into a new Elantra (Luke and Bre and Dad have made it the "IN" thing). Of course oddly enough it takes money to get a new car, who would've thunk it!!! Luckily it was just a radiator, and luckily I could fake my way through changing that sucker out, which saved us mucho dinero, (thanks Dad).

While the car was out of comission I was driving the Blazer to work, and wouldn't you know it the blessings just kept flowing. On the way into work one chilly, snowy morning I shredded the U-joints on the drive shaft. Not a super expensive issue but for those that do not know the car does not move AT ALL with no drive shaft. Poor Kim had to wake up and come get me, but she was a trooper and rushed to get me even though it was freezing, SERIOUSLY!! So the Blazer was added to my list of things to do, gosh cuz I am lacking in things to do! Gratefully I could shift the Blazer into 4 wheel drive and limp home under power of the front tires, on the way losing the rear drive shaft entirely, I would show pics, but it is depressing!

So with the Blazer out of commission I was rushed to get the radiator in the Malibu. While changing out the radiator I had a flashlight in my mouth trying to see hoses, bolts, and wires with only two hands I was improvising!! By this time I couldn't feel my hands and was sick and tired of the work and a tad frustrated. I was clenching a little and cracked my front tooth. So word to the wise do not use your mouth to hold things hard or soft, teeth are precious and it is best to keep your originals as long as possible!!!!

Getting ready for Spring we sprung for a compost thingy, we are excited to try and keep up with Luke and Bre's gardening efforts, so hopefully this gives us an edge, wink!!!!!

Dad helped when he was up visiting, thanks!!!! We stacked the washer and dryer so we could install a laundry sink, which is a VERY uncommon thing in Oregon. It is not 100% finished still working on cabinets and the floor could use some love, but it actually has running water thank you very much!!!

Installed our new dishwasher as well, we LOVE it, it actually cleans the dishes without any nasty smells and the thing is super duper silent. Wonders of modern technology. Of course I did install it myself so it might not be working properly so thats why it could be so silent, but hey as long as the dishes are clean Kim is happy. She does love me though so she may be cleaing them by hand while I am at work then just tell me how great a guy I am for putting it in for her, got to love her!!!
Bought a new heater for the bedroom, thought digital, programmable with remote would be the perfect thing for Kim, after cutting a huge hole in the wall and hooking it up we find it is not the greatest purchase we have made. It is pretty, and quiet but not so warming. Looks like we are going to have to upgrade to something that will keep my love (Kim) warm in the winter. Luckily they have a new ductless heater/AC unit, so something we may have to look into.

Lastly the master bath floor, not 100% finished still needs grout but the tiles are in and the grout will be going in soon!!!!! Once that dries the new vanity and toilet will be right behind!!!!! Super excited, will be great to have our own bathroom.
We love everyone and remember you all have an open invitation to visit anytime, and do not worry about being bored cause we always have tasks that need to be done and worse case there is always rocks that can be moved. XOOXOXOXOXOXOX
