Tractor

Doug, I am sorry you could not take Jared's car, of course Jordan wouldn't have fit in the back, plus I recall a time I let Luke drive the Civic to Palm Springs, yeah I think all were better off with you in the van. Thought I would throw a pic up to show dad what he is missing. Kim took this pic of my awesome work, yeah that is a tree I rammed and brought down, a tractor is so much more fun when it is just a rental. Can't tell if I am looking to make sure I do not hit our fence or if this is where I had the beast buried up to both axles right before the valve stem snapped off creating a puddle of tire water under the tractor. Sadly I was only able to get 2 hours of work in before the tire was deflated. On the positive side of things I get the tractor next weekend for free to make up for the loss, SWEET!!!!!
Doug's LDS Prom

So Doug and Jordan went to the LDS prom held in Murrieta this year. Yes they had dates, no there are no pics of the dates yet because they had to pick them up in Palm Springs. They were both probably relieved by this since Barb and I went a little picture crazy! That is what sisters are for.

Jordan and Doug in their handsome thinking man pose.

I love this picture with the tree. Doug was a little hesitant to lean up against the tree and smudge his suit, but the pic was worth it and the little bit of dirt brushed off easily.
Model pose

Mom and Barbie doing a final brush down. Walking in a black suit in a house that has cats is no simple feat.

Barbie fixing Doug's collar and Doug patiently dealing with more prodding.

Thanks Michelle for sewing the buttons on to Doug's pants!! The suspenders looked awesome. The button holes on the suspenders were a little tight though so it took some manipulating to get them in. Then we realized the suspenders were on backwards so we had to switch them around and go through the process again!

Such concentration!

Barbie teaching Doug how to have a crisply ironed shirt.

Just love the looks on Dad and Doug's faces. Not sure what had happened but they obviously were not in agreement with what we had said...

Gotta love Dad! Love the hot dog up the nose. And yes he did finish eating it afterwards.

Barbie doing Doug's hair. If you can tell from the other pics there is not much hair left to do, but that didn't keep Barbie from working on it for 20 minutes. It looked very dashing in the end!

Oh wait there is a hair out of place-Must fix now!

The model men with Jared's Camero. Notice that they didn't request a picture to be taken with the van that they actually drove in.

Love this pic! Even with the shadows on his face it is great!

Doug is still asleep but I will have him post what happened at prom when he wakes up. Our little brother is growing up (wiping imaginary tear away).

Thought I would take a little time to give a smidge of an update. Things are going well up here in Oregon, was chilly the last two weeks, snow and rain, but it is looking like Spring is just around the corner of course that is after this entire week of rain is over. Its all good though we are excited for a weather change hopefully letting us get outside and enjoy the beauties!!!

Anyway the last two weeks have been eventful. First Kim's car overheated on her, which was a new experience for her (fun, fun). We were kind of excited cuz we were going to look into a new Elantra (Luke and Bre and Dad have made it the "IN" thing). Of course oddly enough it takes money to get a new car, who would've thunk it!!! Luckily it was just a radiator, and luckily I could fake my way through changing that sucker out, which saved us mucho dinero, (thanks Dad).

While the car was out of comission I was driving the Blazer to work, and wouldn't you know it the blessings just kept flowing. On the way into work one chilly, snowy morning I shredded the U-joints on the drive shaft. Not a super expensive issue but for those that do not know the car does not move AT ALL with no drive shaft. Poor Kim had to wake up and come get me, but she was a trooper and rushed to get me even though it was freezing, SERIOUSLY!! So the Blazer was added to my list of things to do, gosh cuz I am lacking in things to do! Gratefully I could shift the Blazer into 4 wheel drive and limp home under power of the front tires, on the way losing the rear drive shaft entirely, I would show pics, but it is depressing!

So with the Blazer out of commission I was rushed to get the radiator in the Malibu. While changing out the radiator I had a flashlight in my mouth trying to see hoses, bolts, and wires with only two hands I was improvising!! By this time I couldn't feel my hands and was sick and tired of the work and a tad frustrated. I was clenching a little and cracked my front tooth. So word to the wise do not use your mouth to hold things hard or soft, teeth are precious and it is best to keep your originals as long as possible!!!!

Getting ready for Spring we sprung for a compost thingy, we are excited to try and keep up with Luke and Bre's gardening efforts, so hopefully this gives us an edge, wink!!!!!

Dad helped when he was up visiting, thanks!!!! We stacked the washer and dryer so we could install a laundry sink, which is a VERY uncommon thing in Oregon. It is not 100% finished still working on cabinets and the floor could use some love, but it actually has running water thank you very much!!!

Installed our new dishwasher as well, we LOVE it, it actually cleans the dishes without any nasty smells and the thing is super duper silent. Wonders of modern technology. Of course I did install it myself so it might not be working properly so thats why it could be so silent, but hey as long as the dishes are clean Kim is happy. She does love me though so she may be cleaing them by hand while I am at work then just tell me how great a guy I am for putting it in for her, got to love her!!!
Bought a new heater for the bedroom, thought digital, programmable with remote would be the perfect thing for Kim, after cutting a huge hole in the wall and hooking it up we find it is not the greatest purchase we have made. It is pretty, and quiet but not so warming. Looks like we are going to have to upgrade to something that will keep my love (Kim) warm in the winter. Luckily they have a new ductless heater/AC unit, so something we may have to look into.

Lastly the master bath floor, not 100% finished still needs grout but the tiles are in and the grout will be going in soon!!!!! Once that dries the new vanity and toilet will be right behind!!!!! Super excited, will be great to have our own bathroom.
We love everyone and remember you all have an open invitation to visit anytime, and do not worry about being bored cause we always have tasks that need to be done and worse case there is always rocks that can be moved. XOOXOXOXOXOXOX

Snow in Yucca

We woke up and there was snow. Well to be honest I drove home in the snow at night, but that is because I am a party animal and stay up to unnatural times. Here are some pictures of the snow from the morning.

I know that there isn't as much snow as some other places, but I got excited. Don't get all crazy.

Marine Corps Ball

So I went to the Marine Corps Ball. It was great. It was in Las Vegas. I went over there and spent some time with Krisitn Carter. She did my hair and got me all pretty. Here are some pictures.

Gotta love a man in uniform. There were some pretty good looking guys...The Navy uniforms were the cutest. I kinda liked them.
